Wer inspiriert Dich? Black Women in the World

Which Black woman inspires you?
Which Black women have shaped our society?
And on which of the 365 days of the year would you celebrate their contribution, their work, or their vision?

Together with Vanessa Pfeil and Nicole Amoussou, we’ll take a look at the history of Black women in various contexts—from Benin to Brazil to Germany. We’ll explore questions of visibility, memory, resistance, and empowerment.

Inspired by ideas from Afrofuturism, a creative session will follow where participants are invited to develop their own thoughts, images, or stories. Together, we’d like to reflect on what future visions of womanhood might look like and what role Black women play in them.
