An abandoned pool landscape: inside, three performers. They dream other people’s vacation dreams. KFC suite becomes a performative tour operator and offers an all-inclusive package: Within an apocalyptic, multimedia-installation-style vacation ecosystem, a music-infused farce unfolds about splashing around and longing.

VACA VACA examines the social and ecological consequences of tourism. As they lie under the sun, KFC suite poses questions about work, burnout, the environment, technology, and decay.

In search of relaxation, they push themselves to their limits and approach the three complex themes of community, justice, and sustainability with humor, hyperpop, and horror.

They’ve earned this vacation. And now it’s here. Now nothing can go wrong. But the pool is tipping—has long since tipped; and yet, it goes on.
Following the world premiere in May 2025 at zeitraumexit, KFC suite presents the revival as a Special Edition and invites you to an installation-style open-air opera.
