Projects + Series
In addition to performances, installations, exhibitions, concerts and special events, regular fixed event formats, including festivals, series and collaborations, are integrated into our annual programme.
Wunder der Prärie (since 2004)
The Wunder der Prärie live art festival takes place every two years in the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region. With performance art and cross-genre projects at the interface between theater, dance and the visual arts, the festival has stood for the presentation of current art forms in the southwest of Germany since 2004. A motto relevant to contemporary society provides the starting point and framework for the works shown. The festival sees itself as working in and with the city in order to stimulate social discourse and act as an initiator and catalyst for social processes. Wunder der Prärie is one of the top 15 festivals in the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region.
elektrosmog (since 2013)
elektrosmog is Mannheim's venue for electroacoustic music and sound art. The regular concerts focus on young, up-and-coming regional artists as well as renowned international artists in the field of contemporary, experimental music. elektrosmog is organized in cooperation with zeitraumexit.
Utopisches Werkeln (since 2024)
Everyone is invited to come along to “Utopisches Werkeln” if they want to do their own handicrafts. We meet in a cozy atmosphere to tinker and experiment on various topics with pre-selected and provided materials. No previous knowledge is necessary. Each session has a theme or a specific material and is aimed at adults; children are of course welcome to come along.
Yollar (since 2023)
Theater workshop for young people between the ages of 12 and 15. We experiment and research with the artistic means of theatre and performance art and offer a space to strengthen each other and get to know each other better. From this, we develop performance pieces that are shown at zeitraumexit.
The workshop takes place as part of the Johannes Kepler Gemeinschaftsschule cultural education program. Other young people are also welcome to register.
