Desbridar

/ Performance as part of sommerexit / zeitraumexit @ T6/18 / 

“Desbridar” is a live entanglement with robotic creatures, exploring the edges of a shared, ever-evolving anatomy. Borrowed from the surgical act of cleansing wounds, the title becomes a metaphor for an intimate and intense shedding of skin. The piece distills over many years of bodily dialogue with self made machines, pouring a symbiotic dance between flesh, touch and mechanism.

Post-Organic Bauplan (ARG/DEU) is a long-term research project integrated by Josefina Maro, choreographer and performance artist and Salvador Marino, Dr. in Evolutionary Biology and multimedia artist. The project started in 2017 in Córdoba, Argentina. Post-Organic Bauplan works on the development of robotic creatures to explore from movement and question the practices that condition our bodily perception. The interaction with the robotic creatures developed by Post-Organic Bauplan became a source for experimentation and imagination of a corporeality outside its institutionalization, making possible a new relationship with the environment. 

“Desbridar” is part of the zeitraumexit summer celebration “sommerexit”. “sommerexit” opens the performative program celebrating zeitraumexit´s 25th jubilee. zeitraumexit turns 25! 25 years of performance art, experimental laboratory, aesthetic research, projects across all genres and socio-cultural projects. 25 years of dazzling, risk, and the unexpected. We celebrate a quarter of a century of zeitraumexit with a performative Jubilee program that explores time and temporality.
