Thomas Lehn + Werner Degreif

More than four decades ago, Werner Degreif and Thomas Lehn met during a jazz workshop at the Remscheid Academy. This encounter developed into a friendship and bond that continues to this day, sustained by their shared interest in art and music. At zeitraumexit, the two artists will share the stage for the first time with trumpet and synthesizer sounds and performative elements.

The evening begins with a solo performance by Thomas Lehn, in which he generates field strengths on his EMS analog synthesizer and transforms the listening room into a charged energy field. This is followed by Werner Degreif's trumpet performance against the backdrop of his visual work, which endlessly strings together various objects such as beverage bottles in a consistent slanted position with multiple changes of perspective. Now the beverage bottles lie on the floor, which the artist kicks, rolls, and pushes in front of him. Singing and playing the trumpet, he enters into a dialogue with the sounds emanating from the objects. The finale is a duo performance by Thomas Lehn and Werner Degreif.
